On Thursday we will do a peer grade of the review packets that were sent home. If I did not receive a person's packet on Monday (or the day they return from being absent), I will NOT accept them. We will also have a Quiz on Friday covering Modules 4.0-4.3, I will be checking homework on this day for modules 4.0, 4.1, 4.2, and 4.3. Module 2 tests were passed back on Monday and SIGNED test corrections are due on FRIDAY!!!! Please make sure you sign this packet. We will beginning Module 4 on Thursday with a "Pre-lesson" Task. On Friday, I will be doing the Module 4 SHowcase. We will start the Module 4 work book on Monday and continue working through the book after Thanksgiving break. Due: Review Packet - Intermediate Grade, Friday (I am leaning towards this being due on Monday, please do not let your student stay up late working on this!!!) 10/16-10/20 Time line for the week: Monday - Review and Quiz, HW-3.7 Tuesday - 3.7, HW-Finish what you need to Wednesday - Module 3 Review Thursday - Module 3 Test Friday - Track Out and Performance Task 10/9-10/13 I gave students an option on Friday about the timeline for Module 3 - Features of functions. Based on our timing, we could work through Module 3 and take the test and Performance task on the Thursday and Friday before tracking out, or we could take it first thing after tracking back in. They voted that they would like to take it prior to tracking out. So, here is the ROUGH TIMELINE for Module 3... Things may need to be adjusted, but here is how we can accomplish this. Friday we worked on 3.1. Students who did not complete their poster needs to come to finish it on Monday during HOMEROOM or IMP time. 3.1 was homework. Monday - Module 3 "Showcase" of info, with notes, HW-3.2 Tuesday - 3.2 and 3.3 Discussion, HW-3.3 Wednesday - Review and Quiz, HW-3.4 Thursday - 3.4 and 3.5, HW-3.5 Friday - 3.6, HW-3.6 Monday - Review and Quiz, HW-3.7 Tuesday - 3.7, HW-Finish what you need to Wednesday - Module 3 Review Thursday - Module 3 Test Friday - Track Out and Performance Task Please, please, please make sure your child is in class everyday and if they have questions about their homework or anything, they need to come see me during homeroom, IMP, or working lunch!!! We are moving past faced, and if they miss a day, they may fall very much behind. Please check the canvas for student videos and Google Classroom for Answer keys for the performance tasks and the Ready, Set, Go's. Peer tutoring is available through Jr. Beta Thursdays until 3:30, please email Jennifer Ulloa for more information. 8/21-8/24 This week we are continuing with sequences. Students will be given back their tests that they took on Friday before tracking out, un graded, for them to correct. I want students to understand the concepts and therefore, they are allowed to use outside resources as long as they are using the resource for understanding. I found a video (on the right) for parents to veiw to learn about the new Math 1 MVP program. Also, permission slips will be going home this week for permission for students to be videoed. I have decided after the test that I want students to have access to the discussions that we have in class. This will help them review for tests and so on... Please look for this and sign and return ASAP. Due: Tuesday - Solar Eclipse Equation Worksheet Wednesday - Test Corrections 7/24-7/28 This week we are continuing our unit on Sequences. There will be a test on this unit on Friday. Have a happy track out! I am giving students the rest of the Weekly Essentials for Quarter 1, students are more than welcome to work on them over trackout, but it is not required. However, some students are behind with their Weekly Essentials, so please make sure that your students get caught up or they can get ahead. Due: Puzzle Packet (Thursday) Warm Ups (Friday) 7/17-7/21 This week we will be starting the new Math 1 program. The first unit is sequences.
